Blacksmith Flatter

Everyone for today's project what  I'd like to do is to make a small  platter so and also have this handled  for a lot of the tongues I make I need  to use a small flatter at least they'd  like to to have something that's an inch  wide so and I've been using this just a  piece of square stock an inch square and  it works just fine but I think it would  be better if I had a handle tool .

I'm  able to get a little bit better of a  swing that way just you know based on  the angles that I'm working working on  when I make the tongs that when I need  to do that flattering operation so  rather than use.

This which is actually  just mild steel I look through my scrap  pile and I found this piece of medium  carbon steel that's about it's an inch  wide and it's about an inch and a  quarter tall so and it's got holes  drilled in it so you know it's kind of  thinking to myself.
