Machining a Swiss Cube

Every machinist is only as good as his tolerances, and machining a swiss cube is one way of proving that you have tight ones. 

It is essentially a cube made up of holes on every side and when completed, it creates a mesmerizing lattice structure inside. 

This cube is often used as a test during initial training for machinists, and it’s incredibly interesting to see made.
